Addison Alvey, 97, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2008, at Pine Haven Health & Rehabilitation. He was born December 29, 1910, in Perry County, Ind. Addison retired from Arkansas School System. He loved to woodwork and spend time outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary (Basham) Alvey; wife, Laudell Marie Alvey; and brothers, Andrew, John and Russell Alvey. Addison is survived by his sister and caregiver, Clara Fridy; children, nieces, and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Pine Haven for their wonderful care of Addison. Services 1 p.m. Monday, November 3, 2008, at Alexander Memorial Park, 2200 Mesker Park Drive with burial to follow. Friends may visit Monday from 11 a.m. to service time at the cemetery chapel.
