Anthony Bourcy was born in Nancy, Meuthe-et-Mosselle, Lorraine, France about 1806. Anthony emigrated to the United States in 1832. He married Elizabeth Perry Greenwood on 3 November 1835 in Lee, Oneida County, New York, USA. The family removed to Richland Township, Chickasaw County, Iowa, between 1850-1860. He resided in Chickasaw County, Iowa, until his death in 1882.
