She was born April 19, 1899, in Racine, Wis. The family moved to Eastern Washington shortly before World War II. She graduated from Washington State University in 1921. She married Fred H. Schroeder in Cashmere, Wash., in 1922. Her maiden name was Doane. She taught school in Eastern Washington until the couple moved to Portland in 1932. She helped her husband run an insurance office in Portland.
Mrs. Schroeder was a member of the Waverly Club, Town Club, White Shield, Salvation Army and the First Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Schroeder died in 1981.
Survivors include her nephews, Ronald Doane of Cashmere, Wayne Doane of Wenatchee, Wash., Robert J. Roberts of Bellevue, Wash., and James Wellman of Carlsbad, Calif.
