He was born August 14, 1913, in Washington, a son of Albert and Margaret Breese Ewing.
Mr. Ewing was a resident of South Strabane Township for the past 48 years. He was a member of the North Ten Mile Baptist Church.
A bricklayer, he retired in 1973 due to poor health. He was a member of Bricklayers Local No. 11.
On December 25, 1935 he married Estella Fulton, who survives.
Also surviving are a son , Donald Ewing of Claymont, Delaware; two grandsons Craig and Trent Ewing, both of Claymont, one granddaughter, Sheri Ewing, also of Claymont; two brothers, Charles Ewing in Florida and Robert Ewing in Ohio; two sisters, Nellie Spence and Catherine Fulton, both of Washington.
Four sisters, Adda, Alta, Lula, and Iva, and four brothers, Ray, Elmus, Edward, and Harry are deceased.
Friends of Lawrence O. Ewing of Washington R.D. 2, South Strabane Township who died February 1, 1984 will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Greenlee Funeral Home, Beallsville, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 4, with the Rev. William E. Harper officiating. Internment in North Ten Mile Cemetery.
