WEST POINT -- Mrs. Ida S. Miles, 87, of West Point, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000 at her residence.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 24 at 2 p.m. at Reed's Chapel Baptist Church with the Revs. Bill Smith and Brad Reed officiating. Burial followed in Marseilles Cemetery in West Point.
Mrs. Miles is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Evon and J. C. Fields of Clarkston, Ga.; her son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Glenda Miles of West Point; three grandchildren, Jeff Miles of West Point and Brook Miles, both of West Point, and Jennifer Hitchcock of Grovetown, Ga.; and one sister, Mary Hancock of Fayetteville, Ga.
Born April 30, 1912 in Gay, Ga., Mrs. Miles was retired from the former Lanett Bleachery and Dye Works. She was an active member of Reed's Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, George H. Miles. She was the daughter of the late Cinda R. Massingall Spraggins and the late Henry Thomas Spraggins.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Reed's Chapel Baptist Church in West Point or Chattahoochee Hospice in Valley.
