He was a native of Detroit, served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, was an iron worker and worked in the construction business.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mallie "Jeanne" Arnold; his parents, Clyde Newton and Mary Tanner Arnold; and a brother, Walter Arnold.
He is survived by one son, Kirk Arnold of Florence; three daughters, Karen (Richard) McGraw of Elkins, W.Va., Kay (Roger) Roebuck of Charlotte, N.C., and Kathy (Galen) Slade of Burlington; one sister, Gwendolyn Faye (Walter) Kirkpatrick of Erlanger; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with the Rev. Dewey Keys officiating. Burial will follow in First Baptist Church Cemetery in Eastview.
