WILLIAM H. RUMMEL DIES FOLLOWING LONG SICKNESS

In failing health for a year with heart trouble, William Henry Rummel, retired farmer, passed away at a Pueblo hospital a few minutes past 5 o'clock Tuesday morning. He was 77 years of age.

Mr. Rummel had resided in Colorado well over half a century and in Canon City since 1932, coming from Colorado Springs.

Born in Millhein, Mo., on October 10, 1869, he lived in Kansas and Nebraska prior to coming to Colorado in 1894. He had farmed most of his life.

Here, the family home was at 810 Greenwood avenue.

Mr. Rummel was a member of the First Baptist church and of the Odd Fellows lodge.

Surviving are two sons and two daughters, Charles M. of Denver, Earl John and Charlotte Rummel of Pueblo and Mrs. H. E. Firkins of Colorado Springs; also 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. His wife, Myrtle Amelia Rummel, died in September 1946.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later by the Holt Mortuary.
