immobilized on the road, the young cyclist had already been taken to hospital in Cornwall along with the two Lazore brothers. Abraham Smoke's bicycle was on the side of the road. driving in the middle of the road when the car veered to the left and struck the cyclist, throwing him about six feet in the air. Leslie Oakes, 14, of St. Regis, said he was riding his bicycle in company with the victim, both having visited a friend. He said he became aware of a car approaching from the
rear and realized it was travelling at fast speed.
