Rev. H. G. Banks, Sr.
The Rev. Harry Garfield Banks Sr., 79, of 380 Moorpark Ave, died this morning at a local hospital.
Born February 24, 1882, in Pine Valley, N.Y., Mr. Banks, a retired Methodist minister, had lived in this county six years. He was a member of the Moorpark Methodist Church and Moorpark Lions Club.
Mr. Banks leaves his wife, Bessie, of Moorpark; two sons, Harry Jr. of Ventura and Theodore of San Gabriel; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Wangeman of Moorpark, and Mrs. Helen Smith, of Bakersfield; and two sisters, Misses Mercy and Bess Banks, of Elmira, N.Y.
Memorial services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at Moorpark Methodist Church (261 Flory Drive). Burial will be in Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier. Friends may call at the Ted A. Mayr Funeral Home until Monday at 10 a.m.
