She married Milton Joseph Cook in NYC in 1868
They had one daughter, Annie Elizabeth, and twins who died at birth.
She divorced Milton in Van Buren Co, Michigan, granted in 1878.
On 11 Feb 1878 she married the widower, Jarvis M. Skinner of Hamilton, Van Buren Co, MI, recorded in Van Buren Co, Michigan marriage book B-2 p. 173 #2588. Jarvis Skinner was a farmer, who had several children by his first marriage and later he and Emma were the parents of two daughters, Edith and Ada.

Short obituary from Orleans American, newspaper Thursday, April 18, 1895.

Died in Albion (New York), Monday, April 15th, 1895 of dropsy, Mrs. Jarvis Skinner, aged fifty-nine years. A husband and three daughters survive her. Services were held at the Methodist Episcopal church Wednesday after-noon at 3:30 o'clock.
