Emil Blake
Emil Blake, 80, died at the Carl Abraham home, Rice Lake, after a lingering illness. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 13, at 2 p.m. at the First Evangelical Lutheran church, Rice Lake, with the Rev. W. W. Doering officiating. Burial will be at Shell Lake. A.J. Hyllengren has charge of arrangements.
Mr. Blake was born March 25, 1864 in Germany and came to this country as a youth, settling in Dallas. He married Augusta Mueller at Dallas March 23, 1884 and moved to Shell Lake. In 1904, he moved to Rice Lake where he was employed at the Hines Lumber Co. until it discontinued operations here. He was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran church for many years.
Surviving Mr. Blake are two sons, William, Spooner, and Arthur, Mankato, Minn.; three grandsons, and three great-grandchildren.
