  Mrs. Carrie Scheiber of 714 Sherman avenue passed away at St. Joseph hospital in Highland Sunday morning at 6:50 following an extended illness. She had attained the age of 72 years, four months and 26 days.
  She was born near Troy on July 6, 1879, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry [Lavina Hays] Wipprecht. She was united in marriage with Joseph Scheiber May 4, 1895, in Edwardsville and has since resided here. Her husband preceded her in death in 1930.
  Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Harry (Laura) Feldner and Mrs. Edward M. (Mary) Agles of this city; two sons, Leroy Scheiber of this city and Leonard of Cleburne, Tex.; three grandchildren Mrs. Elmer Meek and Mrs. John Mueth of this city and Miss Darlene Scheiber of Hawthorne, Calif., and a number of nieces and nephews.
  She was a member of the First Presbyterian church and the Missionary society.
  The body may be viewed after 7 p.m. Monday at the Straube funeral home where it will remain until Wednesday noon when it will be removed to the First Presbyterian church to lie in state until the services at 2 p.m. with the Rev. F.L. Kinsman in charge. Interment will be in Valley View cemetery.

Pallbearers were August Steinkoenig, Ed and Mike Schoreak, Wilbur Flavin, George Massa and Norman Hill.
