Her name is Alabama on her birth record and in the 1870 and 1880 censuses; AlaB on her marriage record; Alice in the 1910 census; and Allie in the 1920 census.

She married Henry Wise Roles, son of Andrew J. Roles and Mary Elizabeth Sweeney Roles, in 1884 in Mercer County.

Henry and Alice Roles are buried in the Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley, Raleigh County.
