Mrs. Louise M. Abner, 80, of 633 Piedmont Avenue, died Tuesday, January 7, in the local hospital. Born in Polk County on July 21, 1905, Mrs. Abner was the daughter of the late John L. and Sally Jones Moore. She was a former Goodyear employee and was a member of the Rockmart First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Abner was preceded in death by her husband, Hershel Abner. Survivors include nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 8 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home. The Rev. S. C. Fennell and the Rev. Charles Bennett officiated, interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ronald Campbell, Dr. Brad Ward, Kenneth Coffman, Cecil Franklin, Jim Jackson and Jimmy McDowell.
