He was born on April 2, 1928 in Rock Springs, Wyoming, the son of John and Agnes Stewart Collins.
Mr. Collins attended schools in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
He married Phyllis Frye in September of 1951 and they had five children. They later divorced and he married Pamela Kaumo in Rock Spirngs, Wyoming on October 19,1962 and they had three sons.
He worked in construction for many years.
His interests were old cars, dogs, fishing, hunting and telling tall tales. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and he especially enjoyed spending time with his son-in-law Merl.
Survivors include his wife Pamela Collins of Rock Springs, Wyoming; three sons Darwin "Donnie" Collins and Dwaine Collins and wife Billie all of Rock Springs, Wyoming and Danny Collins and wife Karie of Green River, Wyoming; two daughters Fran Coats and husband Merl of Lewistown, Montana and Sandra Hoffman and husband Bob of Billings, Montana; two sisters-in-law Norma Ramsay and Mary Alice Collins; fifteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Jack Collins and Harold Collins; two sisters Marge Collins and Genevieve Collins; two sons Dennis Collins And David Collins; and one daughter Deborah Collins.
