Clyde Marie McCadden, 103, entered into God's eternal care, Sunday, May 6, 2007, at Martin's Care Home in Littlestown. She was the wife of Francis J. McCadden, who died January 14, 1979.
Born December 17, 1903, in McSherrystown, she was the daughter of the late Gregory and May (Weaver) Smith.
She was retired from the Hanover Public School District, and was the oldest living member of Annunciation Catholic Church in McSherrystown. Clyde was a member of R.C.I.A. at Annunciation Catholic Church, the Scripture Study at the church, and she was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella.
She is survived by her nephew, Michael McCadden and wife, Valerie of Maine. Clyde will be sadly missed her godson, Randy Brady and wife, Lisa; Jeweley Worley and husband, Don; Donald Brady Jr. and wife Sharon, all of Hanover.
She was preceded in death by a twin sister, Jessamine M. Brady.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9 a.m. Wednesday at Annunciation Catholic Church, McSherrystown, with the Rev. Lawrence W. Sherdel officiating. Burial will be in Annunciation Cemetery, McSherrystown. Relatives and friends will be received Tuesday, 6 to 8 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home, 501 Ridge Avenue, McSherrystown, with a prayer service held at 8 p.m.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mason P. Brady, Nathan G. Brodbeck, Aaron P. Brady, Daniel Davis, Matthew Worley, and Jonathon Brady.
