LODI - Wesley I. Attoe, age 80, died unexpectedly on the farm on Saturday, May 11, 2013.
He was born on Dec. 12, 1932, in the Town of West Point, the son of the late Irving and Viola (Elger) Attoe. Wes was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served from June of 1956 through March of 1958.
He married Violet Zeman Densmore on June 18, 1966. Wes farmed in the area for many years. He was a member of Lodi United Methodist Church and was an avid bowler, having competed in a National Tournament in Syracuse, NY. in July 2012.
In addition to Violet, his wife of 46 years, survivors include their son and his wife, Doug and Wendy Attoe, living on the family farm; his daughter, Kim Attoe; his son, Chuck Fort; Violet's son, Stuart (Sheila) Densmore; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; his sister, Ethel Slack; two brothers, David (Audrey) and Jim (Barb) Attoe; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the LODI UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 130 Locust St., Lodi at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2013, with Rev. Marjorie Rice Myers presiding.
Visiation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
Burial will be at Garden Bluff Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family after services at the church on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in behalf of Wes's name to the donor's choice.
