Delight Lowenberg, 95, Donnellson, died Friday, Sept. 18, 1992, at her home.
She was born Jan. 28, 1897, in Chicago, the daughter of August and Laura Krehbiel. She married John K. Lowenberg Jan. 26 1919 in Donnellson.
Mrs. Lowenberg was a member of the Women's Mission Society and the Zion Mennonite Church in Donnellson.
She is survived by one sister, Gladys Lowenberg, Anoka, Minn.; two brothers, Gordon Krehbiel, Donnellson, and Donald Krehbiel, Miami, Fla., two sons, John S. Lowenberg, ames and Richard A. Lowenberg, Iowa City; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in January 1987, her parents, two sisters, two brothers, two daughters and one granddaughter.
Visitation was at the Hofbauer Funeral Home in Donnellson. Friends called Monday, Sept. 21, and the family received friends from 7 to 8 p.m.. Funeral services were Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Zion Mennonite Church in DOnnellson with the Rev. Richard Bentzinger officiating. Burial was in the Zion Mennonite Cemetery in Donnellson.
Pallbearers were Maurice Krebill, Larry Krebill, Gary Krebill, Leland Koller, Delbert Koller and Frank Bideaux.
A memorial has been established for the Monnonite College Scholarship Fund.
