Mrs. Mary K. Morrison Dead

Died at the home of her daughter Mrs. G.G. Warren at Pittsburg, Kansas on last Sunday evening, Mrs. Mary G. Morrison, aged 72 years, 4 months and 23 days.

Mrs. Morrison was born in Wellsburg, West Va., Jan. 21st, 1836. In 1851 the family moved to Illinois, where she was married to W.I. Morrison in 1850. They moved to Kansas in 1872, coming to Cherokee in 1875, where she lived until the time of her death. She leaves a husband, W.I. Morrison and three children to mourn her loss. Her three children Mrs. G.G. Warren, Mrs. Margaret Bodine of Covington, Ind., and her son Fred of Colorado Springs, Colo. were all with her at the time of her death.

Mrs. Morrison was a kind, whole souled woman, one of the kind that the word mother in its truest sense fitly describes. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church on Wednesday and interment made in the Cherokee cemetery.
