The Shippensburg Chronicle, PA., 27 Nov 1894:
Last Friday morning Harvey Ilgenfritz, aged nineteen years, died of typhoid fever at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Ilgenfritz, in Middlesex township, and a few hours later, his sister, Miss Katie Ilgenfritz, died of typhoid pneumonia, aged twenty-two years. The funeral of both took place at the same time.

Over one hundred and thirty conveyances attended the double funeral of the son and daughter of William Ilgenfritz, held at Kutz's church on Sunday. They had died about five hours apart. The young lady was aged 25 yrs, 5 months and 17 days and died of typhoid pneumonia. The young man was aged 18 yrs, 2 months and 21 days and died from typhoid. They were highly esteemed by old and young. In life they were together and in death were not separated. The pall bearers were Harry Arnold, David Eckard, James Eckard, Charles Matthews, Clinton Matthews, William Bear, Charles Bear and William Huffman.
