OBITUARIE, MOULTRIE, GA: Lera Maude Tyree Greene Hand, 71, of Route 5, died Wednesday at Colquitt Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Hopewell Baptist Church with the Rev. Phillip Ricks officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Stone, Lance Hunt, Randy Clifton, John Benefield, Larry A. Hunt and David Stone. Daughter of the late John Harrison and Alma Turner Tyree, Mrs. Hand was born Sept. 19, 1921, in Colquitt County. She was the wife of the late Lindsey Hand, a homemaker and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Clarence Eugene Greene, and Robert Clyde Greene, both of Moultrie; two daughters, Pat Hunt, Moultrie, and Ruth Greene, Thomasville; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family will be staying at the Route 5 home of Pat Hunt and will receive visitors 7-9 tonight at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
