Danny Loyd Coffell was the first of five children born to Loyd Elwood Coffell and Hattie May Ferguson Coffell. Danny served his country in the United States Army for 15 years in Augsburg, Germany; Fort Hood, Texas; Fort Bragg, North Carolina; and Korea. His most memorable years in the service were when he was assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg. His career awards include Sharpshooter, Rifle-M-14, Exp (Rifle M-14), Driver & Mechanic Badge, Parachutist Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Presidential Unit Citation, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Korea), and four Good Conduct Medals. He was an automotive mechanic for the next 25 years in Florida and Texas. He was an avid motorcyclist and a firearms enthusiast. Danny was married first from 1963 to 1975. He was married second from 1975 to 1986. He was married third from 1990 to 2001. Danny married last to Cindy Lou Schnack Arsenault on 25 June 2005 at Harker Heights, Texas. He is survived by his wife, three children from his first marriage, his mother, and three former wives. He was preceded in death by his father on 5 April 2013.
