Age 80, of Lockport, passed away on Thursday, November 20th, 2008 at his home in Lockport.

Walter is survived by his loving family, children, Amy Frazier, Bruce (Zhelka) Adelmann, Jyme Ross, Missy (AJ) Rossi, Kelly (Tim) Wagner, Denise Reiter, wife, Nadine Adelmann; special grandchildren, Fredrick Frazier, Jonathon Frazier; and many other grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Howard J. Adelmann, Sr., and Marguerite Adelmann (nee O'Brien); grandson, Joey Frazier; and brother, Howard J. Adelmann, Jr; and sister, Marigene Hickman.

Walter was a graduate of Joliet Catholic High School.

He was a United States Army veteran who served in Korea. Walter received two Purple Hearts and was a Prisoner Of War for 22 months.

He was also a member of the Lockport VFW and the Iron Workers Union.

Family will receive friends at the Goodale Memorial Chapel, 912 South Hamilton Street Lockport, Monday, November 24th, 2008 from 9:00 AM until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment, Lockport City Cemetery, Lockport.
