HAMPTON - A. Levi Russ a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend entered eternal peaceful rest on May 20, 2013. He was born Nov. 17, 1938 in Riegelwood, NC to the late Elizabeth and Neally Russ. He leaves to cherish his memories wife Shirley, 3 sons Rick(Sheila), Greg(Veda) & Darryl(Ellen); grandsons Brandon & Christopher, granddaughter Ebony, step granddaughters Austin & Amory(Will), brothers Oneal(Georgette) and Morris & sister Yvette Russ. He is also survived by 5 brothers-in-law, 5 sisters-in-law and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and church family. A viewing will be from Noon until 6pm, Wednesday May 22, 2013 at Cooke Brothers Funeral Chapel and also 2 hours prior to the service. A celebration of life will be held Thursday May 23, 2013, 1:30pm at Gethsemane Baptist Church with The Rev. Dr. Dwight Riddick officiating. Entombment will follow at Hampton Memorial Gardens.
