William E. Ziegler, 80

Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 14 at First United Methodist Church in Blair for William E. Ziegler, 80 of Blair who died November 10, 1989, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery with military rites by the Blair Veterans of Foreign Wars.

William E. Ziegler was born April 17, 1909 at Orum, Nebraska, to Julius and Margaret Petersen Ziegler. He graduated from Blair High School.

On October 12, 1947, he married Alice Jacobson in Blair. He served his country during World War II as a member of the United States Army.

For several years he worked for Arndt Hardware and with Wright and Wilhelmy in Omaha until his retirement. He was a member of the Washington County Historical Society and Blair VFW Post No. 1251.

He is survived by a sister, Emma Marin of Indianola, Iowa, and nephews and nieces.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the services.
