Henrich and Justina Isaak Reimer first son, Peter, was born on February 14, 1877. The family decided to immigrate to the United States. According to the passenger ship lists, they arrived on the ship, "Strassburg" which docked at New York City on July 2, 1878. They made their home at Lehigh, Kansas, until 1902, when they moved to the newly opened territory of Oklahoma.
The Oklahoma Territory was designated at Indian Territory until it was opened for settlement by homesteaders. there were five areas opened for homesteading by means of the "Run". The Heinrich Reimer family settled at Mountain View, Oklahoma, in 1902, located in the south part of Washita County., which was part of the third run.
Peter's parents, Heinrich and Justina, were the parents of twelve children; in addition they had an adopted girl they called "Our Lizzie". Peter H. was the oldest of twelve children born 2.14.1877 and died 7.8.1939
