WALTERBORO - Services for H. Reginald "Reg" Rentz, 78, of 312 Rivers Street, will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Chapel of Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. John Wertz and Rev. James Day officiating.
Mr. Rentz, widower of Eunice Erwin Rentz, died Sunday, August 6, 2000, in Colleton Medical Center, Walterboro. A native of Hampton Co., he was a son of the late Marion Wade Rentz and Bertha Harvey Rentz. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he was a retired manager of 42 years at Corbett Building Supply. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, a member of Unity #55 Masonic Lodge, a member of VFW, a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #93, and a member of the Clemson IPTAY Club.
Surviving are his daughters, Carla Jean Rentz, Carol Ann Rentz Jones both of Walterboro; brother, W.H. "Pete" Rentz of Moncks Corner; sisters, Marguerite Rentz Carter, Frances Rentz Carter both of Walterboro; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
