Mr. Rentz, widower of Eunice Erwin Rentz, died Sunday, August 6, 2000, in Colleton Medical Center, Walterboro. A native of Hampton Co., he was a son of the late Marion Wade Rentz and Bertha Harvey Rentz. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he was a retired manager of 42 years at Corbett Building Supply. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, a member of Unity #55 Masonic Lodge, a member of VFW, a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #93, and a member of the Clemson IPTAY Club.
Surviving are his daughters, Carla Jean Rentz, Carol Ann Rentz Jones both of Walterboro; brother, W.H. "Pete" Rentz of Moncks Corner; sisters, Marguerite Rentz Carter, Frances Rentz Carter both of Walterboro; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
