Annetta K. Mogensen, 90, of Friend, formerly of Cordova, died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007, at the Friend Manor. She was born Oct. 13, 1916, near Cordova to Ellenore (Nielsen) and Walter Johnsen. She was a 1935 graduate of Cordova public schools. On Sept. 4, 1938, she was united in marriage to Jergen C. Mogensen. To this union a daughter, Karen, and a son, David, were born. Annetta was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cordova, and the Warren Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Friend.
Annetta is survived by her daughter, Karen Knepper of Beatrice; son and daughter-in-law, David H.and Dee Morgan of Medicine Bow, Wyo.; son-in-law, Jay Knepper of Beatrice; daughter-in-law, Pamela Mogensen of Scottsbluff; five grandchildren, Darin and Anja Knepper, Panama, Neb., Craig Knepper of Prague, Lisa Robertson and her husband Mark of Omaha, David Mogensen of Denver, Nicki of Parker, Colo.; seven great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Harry Mogensen of Denver; many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, "Mogey" in 1989; a sister and two infant brothers.
Funeral service: 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cordova, the Rev. Dr. Rob E. Sachs. Interment: Zastrow Cemetery.
