Services For Rev. Andersen Set Saturday
Funeral services for the Rev. Hans Ernst Andersen, 60 years old, a retired Methodist Minister, were held at 10:30 o'clock Saturday in the Wiggen and Sons Mortuary.
Committal services were held at 1:15 o'clock that same afternoon in Fraola Cemetery at Fragarie, Kitsap County. Mr. Andersen served the Methodist church in Fragaria for many years. Mr. Andersen died Sunday evening, just after he had preached a sermon in the Methodist Church at Kalispell, Mont. Mr. Andersen who served in Kalispell from 1916 to 1919, was en route to Cordova, Alaska. He was accompanied by his wife Ingeborg and a son Stanley, Shelton, Mason County. Born in Fredricktad, Norway, Mr. Andersen came to his country in 1909. He was a graduate of the Theological School of Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill. Mr. Andersen, who served as a minister in the Norwegian-Danish Conference of the Methodist Church until his retirement, three years ago, began his ministry at Port Townsend and Port Angeles in 1915. Pastor of Central Methodist Church of Seattle from 1929 until 1932, he also had served in Everett, Wash. Also surviving are two other sons, Arnold, of Seattle, and Harold Andersen, of Cordova; two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Stansfield, Edmonds, Wash and Mrs. Marie Searing, Baltimore; ten grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Esther Andersen, San Francisco, Calif, and four sisters and two brothers in Norway.
