Olvie L. Cosner, 70, of Cumberland, went to be with the Lord Saturday, March 18, 2006, at Memorial Hospital.

Born September 19, 1935, in Mt. Storm, WV, he was the son of the late Calvin M. and Onie (Aronholt) Cosner. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Wade Cosner, Marshall Cosner, Vernon Cosner, and Melvin Cosner.

Mr. Cosner was retired from the Local 616 Laborers Union, Cumberland, and was a member of Second Baptist Church. He was a very selfless and loving man who enjoyed helping others in need. He loved his family and extended family dearly.

Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Donna Lucille (Plummer) Cosner; one son, Lawrence Ray Cosner and fianc? Norma Rinehart, Cumberland; two grandchildren, Lauren V. Cosner and Cory S. Cosner; one sister, Celia (Cosner) Tyszko and husband Walter, Baltimore; two brothers, Ervin Cosner, Martinsburg, WV; and Tommy Cosner and wife Debbie, Silver Spring; sisters-in-law, Norma Breighner, Ridgeley, WV; Nola Aldridge and husband Bill, Cumberland; and Delores Twigg, Hyndman, PA; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and two special pets, his dog Bekki and his cat Fred.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland, on Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Benny Brakeall officiating.

Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
