After graduating from high school he went to the University of Missouri, graduating in 1930 with honors in Accounting.
General Electric Company hired him and he moved to Schnectady, NY. In August of that year he married his college sweet heart, Dorothy Vollmer.
About 1934 Roscoe was transferred to Erie, Pennsylvania and worked at the GE plant there as a cost accountant. Here he and Dorothy raised their two children, David H. and Carolyn, until 1953 when he was again transferred to the GE plant in Evendale (Cincinnati),Ohio.
In 1965, having worked for GE for 35 years, Roscoe retired.
He loved cars and loved driving them. He and Dorothy bought a recreational trailer so they could drive all over the United States and see this great country. They met many wonderful trailering friends along the way. In 1980 they
settled down in El Paso, Texas where they knew many friends from their travels.
In February of 1983 Roscoe died of a ruptured aneurysm. He was cremated and his ashes scattered at the funeral home in El Paso.
