Andrew Betts Dies at the Age Of 66
Andrew Betts, formerly of Blair passed away at Mercy Hospital, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, August 26 at the age of 66 years. He was born at Tekamah on January 24, 1912 to Henry and Mary Betts.
For many years he was employed as foreman at Vickers of Omaha.
He is survived by his wife Mabel; two daughters, Geneva Lupinski, Council Bluffs, Carol De Lanie of Ralston; two brothers Wm. Betts, Blair, Floyd of Sioux City, Iowa, three sisters, Clara McMurtrie of Fremont, California, Marie Steffan, Missouri Valley, Iowa, and Avis Edie, Council Bluffs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
He has six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are 10 o'clock Tuesday August 29th at Meyers Funeral Home, Council Bluffs with interment in Blair Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Henry Smith and Larry Betts, Blair. Lynn Steffan, Missouri Valley, Norman Betts, Donnie Betts and Terry Edie all of Council Bluffs.
