Grace Watson Price, age 76, of Dudley Shoals Road, Granite Falls, loving wife and mother, died Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. She was born January 19, 1937 in Wilkes County to the late Thomas William and Myrtle Elizabeth Church Watson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, June Sidney "Buster" Price, daughter, Linda Diane Price, infant son, five brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Price was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two sons; Donald Price and wife Lynn of Hudson, Buster Price and wife Gena of Granite Falls; five daughters, Margaret West and husband Abraham of Boomer, Lydia Carlson and husband Jerry of Elbow Lake, Minnesota, Sandy Benge and husband Andy "Bo" of Granite Falls and Reba Frye of Granite Falls, Lisa Wilson Price and husband Terry Wayne of Hudson, 25 Grandchildren, 31 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at Harris Chapel Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Edd Warren. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home and open hours at the home of Buster Price, 4492 Mayfield Drive, Granite Falls, NC 28630.
