James Richard (Rick) Greene, age 66 of Mayville, MI passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013 at home with his family. Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at the Mayville United Methodist Church with Pastor Charles Buckhahn officiating. Family will receive visitors 3-8 PM Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at the Avram Funeral Home in Mayville, MI and from 10 AM until time of service Wednesday at the Church. Internment will be at the Watertown Township Cemetery, grave side honors will be conducted by The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War Suggested memorials to the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War. Rick was born December 31, 1946 to James Reber and Kathryn (Heusted) Greene. He was a graduate of Mayville High School and attended two years of college. He married Karen Morse on November 12, 1982 in Goodison, Mi. Rick was a Past Department Commander of the Sons of Union Veterans of Civil War, and a member the Mayville Museum. He loved antique tractors, Civil War reenactments, and working on his farm. Richard is survived by his wife: Karen, one daughter: Meagan (Anthony) Lyle of Mayville, MI, three grand children: Morgan, Matthew, and Noah. He was preceded in death by his parents.
