LITTLE MOUNTAIN – Funeral service for James L. "Jim" Abrams, 63, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with interment in Pinelawn Memory Gardens, Clinton, SC. Pastors Glenn Day and Clay Summers will be conducting the services. Family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:00 p.m. prior to the service in the chapel. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.
Mr. Abrams was born February 21, 1950 in Joanna, SC and passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2013. He was the son of James L. Abrams, Sr. and Olivia Attaway Abrams. Mr. Abrams was a dispatcher with Southeastern Freight Lines for over 35 years and a Mason. He loved fishing, hunting, woodworking and tinkering in his garage.
Mr. Abrams is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Clara V. Abrams; son, J. Brad Abrams; loving sister, Linda Abrams and his faithful dogs, Prissy, Cujo and Bear.
