RANKIN, ROBERT WAYNE (BOB) - passed away Monday May 6, 2013, at age 62. Bob was born May 30, 1950, in Knoxville, to Bruce Rankin and Dorothy Alta-Mae Greene Rankin. He fought a valiant fight with melanoma cancer for the past two months. Bob loved well, was well-loved and will be greatly missed. He was a 1968 graduate of Central High School and attended Brigham Young University. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He was an entrepreneur who spent most of his career in the outdoor advertising industry. Bob is survived by his son, Damien Rankin; daughter, Karma Rankin McNew; grandsons, Parker, Preston and Pierce McNew; sisters, Judy Rankin (Donald) Hansen and Janice Rankin Erickson; brothers, Jim (Linda) Rankin and John (Linda) Rankin; fifteen nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 10, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel. The family will also receive friends from 11:00 - 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, May 11th, 2013 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 11837 Grigsby Chapel Road, Farragut, TN, with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 noon.
