"Matt J. Boddicker, 53, of Watkins was killed 7 March 1951 in an auto crash near Troy Mills, IA. He was laid to rest on Saturday 10 March 1951 in St. Patrick's cemetery.
Matt was born 21 April 1897 and lived his entire life on the family farm near Watkins.
Survivors include his wife, eight children; Kenneth, of Walker; David, of Fairfax; Mrs. Carl Agee and Gerald, of Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Edward Milane of Dorchester, Mass.; Mrs. John Rushek of Solon, and Jean and James, at home; four brothers, Joe, Frank, John, and Albert, all of Newhall; four sisters, Mrs. John Water of Watkins; Mrs. Nettie Brecht of Norway; Mrs. Henry Schulte of Walker, and Mrs. Oscar Pickart of Cedar Rapids, and eight grandchildren."
