Jack A. McCoy, 82, St. Joseph, Mo., died Tuesday, April 26, 2005, at the local hospital.
Jack was born May 29, 1922, at St. Joseph to the late Enis and Mamie (Cook) McCoy.
Jack worked as a route deliveryman for Criswell Oil and Suburban Propane. He was a WWII veteran with the Army, and was a sharpshooter and received the Combat Infantry Badge.
Jack was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors: wife, Merle McCoy of the home; daughter-in-law, Darlene McCoy, St. Jospeh; sisters, Dorothy Stone, Washington state; Shirley Berry, Iowa; and Charlotte Rainwater, Elwood, Kan.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Also preceding in death were a son, Jack McCoy Sr.; two brothers and four sisters.
The graveside service and burial was held Thursday at Ashland Cemetery, with military rites by American Legion Post No., 359.
