Carolyn Faye Powell Armstrong, 58, of Shelbyville, TN passed away July 12, 2003 at her residence. She is a native of Moore County and was a member of the Pentecostal Faith. She attended Emmanuel Pentecostal Church and was a housewife.
She is the daughter of the late Coy D. and Mary Katherine Warren Powell.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Vernon Armstrong; daughter, Kimberly D. Reed of Shelbyville, TN; granddaughters, Amber D. Clanton and Kayla H. Bailey, both of Shelbyville, TN; brothers, William Powell, Steve Powell, Phillip Powell and Harvey Powell, all of Petersburg; sisters, Jewel Phelps, Bonnie Davis, Viola Sons and Wanda Fanning, all of Petersburg.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 13, 2003 from 4:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Gowen-Smith Chapel with funeral service Monday, July 14, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. with Elder Ron Adams officiating. Burial will be at Hickory Hill Cemetery on Chestnut Ridge.
