Mary Virginia Brown Austin, 71, of Little Rock, Ark. departed this life on February 12, 2012. She was born May 27, 1939 in Magnolia, AR., to the late Rev. William Mitchell and Lillie Mae Brown. Mrs. Austin was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Cleo Austin on March 30, 1962 and to this union one son was born Felix Marvel Austin. The family joined Pilgrim Progress Baptist Church in North Little Rock where they remained until Rev. Cleo Austin was called to pastor the Rocky Mountain Missionary Baptist Church.

Her husband, parents, five sisters and five brothers preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Felix Marvel Austin; four grandchildren, Amaree Michelle Austin, Kaymon Desean Austin, Jaelon Alexander Austin and Kholbi Felice Austin; one sister, Vertise Olive; two brothers, James Brown and George Brown (Barbara); god daughter and god son, Sherrill and Paul Robinson Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Home going services will be on Saturday, February 18, 2012, 11 a.m., at Christway Missionary Baptist Church, 4324 Potter Street, Little Rock, Ark. Interment will follow at Elmlawn Cemetery. Family visitation: Friday, February 17, 2012, 6-7 p.m., at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 Chester St., LR (501) 372-1305.
