Fred, age 82, passed away at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. He was the son of Fred W. and Thelma (Gehring) Barthuly. He graduated from Paxico High School in 1949. He married Betty Jane Martens on January 16, 1952. He married Lavina Rezac on June 7, 1991. Survivors include his second wife, his children, Ray Barthuly, Dorothy Rappard, Marilyn Rose, and Jane Clemons, his step-children, Wesley Rezac, Beth Gideon, and Joan Hoch, his sister, LaDonna Diaz, six grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-step-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, his husband, and his infant siblings, Dorothy Barthuly, Donald Barthuly, and Billy Barthuly. Funeral services were held at St. Marys United Methodist Church. Interment was in Valley View Cemetery in St. Marys.
