Age 84, died unexpectedly Thursday August 30, 1990 at Appleton Medical Center. She was born October 15, 1905 in Chilton, the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Kleifisch) Basler. She had attended Chilton schools. She was first married on January 4, 1927 in Chilton to Silverius Dohr who died in 1945. She was later married to Ambrose Rutta on July 2, 1949. Mr. and Mrs. Rutta had lived all of their married lives in Hilbert where Mrs. Rutta worked as a postal clerk at the Hilbert Post Office from 1947 until her retirement in 1972. She was a member of St Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert, and a member of it's Christian Mothers, she was also a member of the Hilbert Senior Citizens. She was influential in starting the hot lunch Program at the Hilbert Public schools. She also enjoyed working outdoors with her flowers and feeding and watching the birds.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Franklin and Donna Dohr, Clintonville; Gerald and Ginny Dohr, Sherwood; five grandchildren: Daniel Dohr, David , and Tammy Dohr, Debra Bollmer, Darcy and Steven Meyer, Doug and Sheryl Dohr; seven great-grandchildren, two sisters and a brother-in-law: Mrs. Irene Laffey, Hilbert; Mrs. Al (Margaret) Schuler; Valders; a brother and sister-in-law: John and Delphine Basler, Chilton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Silverius in 1945, and her husband, Ambrose in 1988, also two sisters: Hattie and Elizabeth.

Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday Sept. 1, 1990 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert with the Rev. Rallen Stencil officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4 until 9 p.m. (TONIGHT), Friday August 31, 1990 at the Sansom Funeral Home in Hilbert and from 8 a.m. until the cortage leaves for the Church on Saturday. There will be a Christian Mother's Rosary at 7:30 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 8 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.
