Erma Kotek, 87, of Montgomery, died on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Traditions of Montgomery in Montgomery.

Erma was born on March 14, 1926, in New Prague, a daughter of James J. and Agnes (Slavik) Zoubek. She married James A. Kotek on October 27, 1944, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. She was a homemaker, worked on their dairy farm, and also worked at Herrmann Drug for 14 years. Erma was a member of the Senior Citizens group, Altar Rosary Society and Red Hatters. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards (Cardorama), fishing, spending time outdoors and traveling.

She is survived by children Marvin Kotek, Oakdale, and Karen Pittman, Mesa, AZ; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a brother Lloyd Zoubek; a great-granddaughter Katelynn Kuechle; and grandson Bobby Kotek.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 30, at 10:30 a.m., at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery.

Burial was at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Montgomery.

Visitation was held on Tuesday from 9 to 10:30 a.m., at the church.

Arrangements were with the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery.
