RJ Stewart, 67, (born 1838-9) died in this city yesterday at 2:30pm. He was an old resident of Jacksonville, having lived here all his life. He was a saw filer by trade. The funeral on 29 May at 2pm from the residence, Rev Wm N Poage conducting service. Interment in Woodlawn cemetery.

The funeral of R J STUART took place yesterday afternoon at 2:30p from his late residence, corner of Wamboldt and Parker Streets, Rev W W POAGE, pastor of McTyeire (sic) Methodist Church, South, conducting the services, during which several appropriate selections were beautifully rendered by the church choir. The interment was in Woodlawn.
