Harvey was the son of John Mark Hardin and Mamie Godwin Hardin. Harvey's first wife Anne Ruth Matthews died in 1966. He was a twenty year employee of Kelly Foods, where he served as a Corporate Pilot and Manager. He was also employed by the Department of Conservation as a Well Inspector for six years, retiring in 1980. He served his country during WWII as a See Bee in the Marshall Islands.He currently was a member of the Woodland Baptist Church and had been ordained a Deacon while he was a member of the Pleasant Plains Baptist Church. He was a member of the North Side Lions Club for many years. He is survived by his wife, Faye Foreman Hardin, and daughters, Brenda Hardin Stone, and Laura Hardin Beaver, a brother, J.W. Hardin, a sister, Maggie Hardin, and 5 grandchildren.
