Barbara Ann Purvis was born to Serena 'Rena' Jeanette Sorelle (1911 - 1962) & James 'Tiny' Clarence Purvis (1905 - 1969) who had married 8 Aug 1930 • Lovington, Lea, New Mexico, USA and she also had an older sister Patricia Jeannette Purvis

She married Frank Gordon Brandon (1935–1994) in Texas City, Galveston County, Texas, USA

Elementary School teacher Barbara A. Brandon (Purvis) died Friday in a local Hospital. She was 60.

Mrs Brandon was born Nov 16 1934 in Fort Worth, Texas, and attended school in Texas City, Texas, graduating from the University of Texas with a degree in education. She moved to Shawnee in 1970 and was a member of the Northridge Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include two sons Bruce Brandon of Freehold, N.J., Bradley Brandon of Shawnee, a daughter Brenda Brandon of Shawnee; four grandchildren and a sister Pat Cornett of Amarillo, Texas; and a special friend Prentis McCord. At Mrs.Brandon's request their will be no service.
