April 25.-Benjamin Chamberlain was born in the town of Bedford, Mass., June 22, 1806. Died at his home in Newton, Calhoun Co., Mich., April 20, 1895; aged 88 years, 9 months and 28 days. He leaves an aged wife and two children of a family of four to mourn his loss. Mr. Chamberlain was one of the pioneer settlers of Calhoun county, being one of the first four families who settled in the township of Newton in 1836 and has resided here with but short intervals of absence until his death. The funeral services were held from his late home on Tuesday, Apr. 23, conducted by Rev. E. H. Harbridge.
