Mr. Smith had lived in the Mineral Springs community, just a few miles northeast of Haynesville, La. practically his entire life. He was well known and well liked by many people of the surrounding area. He was a quiet and industrious farmer but retired several years ago because of his advanced age. He was the Son of Alfred Jones and Elizabeth Harper Smith. Survived by his wife Mrs. Sally Crump Smith, one daughter Mr. J. C. Taylor and one Son Clyde Smith of Haynesville.
