Application was made for a CSA Tombstone by Thomas A. Clark, husband of Joabs daughter Katherene( Kathy ), Rt.3, Canton, Cherokee, Co.,Ga. Thomas was to see that it was placed at the head of Joabs grave. Source LDS Family search. Thomas A. Clark and Katherene are buried in this cemetery.
A J.A. Whitley, Private, was in CSA Co. F. 24th Regiment called the " Gwinnett Independent Blues ",8/20/1862-captured at Cold Harbor,VA., 6/3/1864, released Elmira N.Y. 6/16/1865. If this is he, it's a wonder he survived the Union Prison at Elmira,
