EASTMAN - Marcus M. May, 71 died Sunday at Dekalb General Hospital in Decatur following a brief illness. Services will be announced by Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home.
Mr. May was a Turner County native, but had lived in Dodge County for 45 years. He was a member of the Congregational Holiness Church and was a retired textile worker.
Survivors include his widow Mrs. Jo Annie Jones May; three daughters, Mrs. Wilbur Hearring and Mrs. Buddy Spires, both of Eastman, Mrs. R.G. Edwards of Atlanta; a son, William M. May of Eastman; two sister Mrs. Jane Osburn and Mrs. Ideal Stevens, both of Atlanta; two brothers, Warren L. May of Valdosta, J.H. May of Atlanta.
The family will be at the residence at 130 Peacock Avenue.
